Welcome to the 4th and final week of a series of videos I made for a men’s program called the Endurance. I wanted to help people learn to get more out of the Bible every time they read it!
When you start reading a passage of Scripture you want to train your brain to find:
REPETITIONS
When an author repeats something you know he or she wants to emphasize that point. Repetitions often clue you in to the theme or main idea of a passage.
One mistake I see people make when looking for observations is to ONLY look for repeated words. Make sure to dig deeper to find repeated ideas or themes. This will take reading a passage several times!
WATCH the video to see how I found 2 repetitions in 1 Thessalonians 2. Notice how I will mark them differently in my Bible. (You can click the image of the video to watch!)
I hope the last 4 weeks have given you some helpful tools to use when you are reading your Bible. I’ve done this enough where I now look for these almost automatically every time I read.
It has made Bible study and Bible reading more enjoyable! I believe I know what the passage is saying and know how to make better applications because of using these tools.

Let me know in the comments which tool you will start looking for in your reading this week!
The Endurance is an online community helping men grow in their faith and godliness — specifically addiction. They have a 30-day Challenge that helps guys start to get free from online addictions. If you are interested in checking out that program you can see it at the link below.
